Overview

Warranty Check retrieves product warranty information including obligations, deliverables and coverage dates.

Service features

Check up to twenty warranties at a time.

View coverage for active and expired warranties.

Country of Purchase defaults to a locale according to your HP Support Center language and country selections.

Expiration date is based on the purchase date, if the product was registered with HP. Otherwise the expiration date is estimated based on the manufacture date.

Logged-in users can link active based warranties to their HP Support Center user profile. Creating a HP Support Center profile allows you to store, view, and manage your products to speed your path to solutions for your specific HP product

Access requirements

You do not need to be logged in to use this service. Logging in to HP Support Center with your HP Passport ID does however provide you with the option of linking warranties to your profile. Warranty check does not retrieve support agreement information.

Location of serial number and product number

The serial number (preceded by "Serial" or "S/N"), which is typically located near the product number on the label, is required. The product number may also be required. The product labels below show typical serial number and product number (2, in the examples below) locations. Contact HP Support if you cannot find the label.

  1. Model number
  2. Product number (may be needed by Warranty Check)
  3. Product name

Warranty information is not found, or error returned

If the results page lists an error for a particular entry, verify that the input for that entry is valid. If you re-enter the information and it still returns an error please contact HP Support. If you have entered multiple numbers, you can remove the entry that caused the error and proceed.

How to extend or upgrade warranties
